Privacy policy

PrepAtlas is operated by Anirudh Vaka as an individual founder under the brand name PrepAtlas, based in Hyderabad, Telangana, India. This policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, and your rights over it.

What we collect

• Account information: email address and display name, used for sign-in and personalised greetings.
• Study progress and practice data: quiz attempts, test results, bookmarks, streaks — used only to personalise your dashboard and study plan.
• Preferences: target exam, daily study minutes, language preference.
• Usage and device analytics: pages visited, feature usage, device type, and browser — used to improve the product. No behavioural advertising profiles are built.
• Payment data: if you purchase a plan, payments are processed by Razorpay. PrepAtlas does not store your card or bank details — Razorpay handles all payment data under their own privacy policy.

What we don't collect

• Device contacts, photos, microphone, camera, or location.
• Browsing history outside PrepAtlas.
• Data from children under 14, knowingly. We do not run behavioural tracking, profiling, or targeted advertising directed at minors.

Where data lives

Your data is stored in the PrepAtlas PocketBase backend with access controls. You can only read and write your own attempts, bookmarks, and plans. Admin access covers platform-level content (chapters, questions) but not per-user study data.

Third-party services

• PocketBase — authentication, database, and storage.
• Razorpay — payment processing (only if you purchase a plan).

Cookies

We use only essential cookies for authentication sessions. No tracking pixels or advertising cookies are enabled by default.

Data retention

We retain your data for as long as your account is active. If you request deletion, your account and associated data are removed within 30 days. Anonymised, aggregated usage data (not linked to your identity) may be retained for product analytics.

Your rights

You can export or delete your data at any time. Email support@prepatlas.in. Account deletion removes all associated rows within 30 days.

Children & parental consent

PrepAtlas is intended for learners aged 14 and above. Under India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, anyone under 18 is a child. At sign-up we require confirmation that a parent or legal guardian consents to a minor's use of PrepAtlas, and we are implementing verifiable parental-consent checks in line with the Act. We do not undertake behavioural tracking, profiling, or targeted advertising directed at children. A parent or guardian may review, export, or request deletion of their child's data by emailing support@prepatlas.in.

Grievance officer

In line with the DPDP Act, 2023 and the Information Technology (Intermediary Guidelines) Rules, 2021, you can reach our Grievance Officer at grievance@prepatlas.in. We acknowledge complaints within 24 hours and aim to resolve them within 15 days.
